Program for the generation of design storms

Brief description

The RainGen program is a specialized software product used for the processing, analysis and evaluation of a time series of storm events within a defined system of rain gauge stations. Based on this information, the computation engine of the program generates synthetic rainfall series in any point of the given watershed, while taking into consideration the time and space characteristics of storm events and the watershed area. The program is suitable for the preparation of time series used as input into most rainfall-runoff hydrologic models.

Basic usage

At the present time, the program interacts with hydrologic modules of the MOUSE and MIKE11 simulation programs. The program runs fully under MS Windows.
